Misspelled name in personalized gifts

Jessica, on September 1, 2019 at 1:21 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13
I dont Have a wedding party but chose to make diy gifts for the some key people. The gifts are personalized wine glasses with the persons name and my and my fiance's monogram. I screwed up the spelling of someone's name and idk if I should just ask my cousin (who made decal) to fix it or if I should just leave it.

The decal is permanent vinyl, but apparently permanent just means that is really really hard to remove.

I spelled Candy rather than Candie.

Thoughts?

I would fix it if possible. I would be upset if I received a gift with my name misspelled.

Actually, it is quite difficult to remove the vinyl.

This needs to be fixed. If it won't come off I would just do a whole new one with the correct spelling.

I own a small business and I use permanent adhesive vinyl on 75%+ of my products. It's incredibly easy to remove it from glass.

Definitely fix it. As someone who has spent my whole life adding the H to the end of my name for people, I’d be pretty offended if someone gave me a personalized gift that didn’t even have my name spelled right. Especially if they were an important person in my life.

I’d be pretty disappointed if my friend didn’t have my name spelled right on a gift for being in her wedding. My name is misspelled often, but never by friends. I would definitely fix it.

If you have time to fix it I would. I had personalized bags made for my bridesmaids and they spelled my sil's name wrong. I didn't have enough time to get a new one made so I didn't have a choice but to give her the misspelled bag. I told her I was so sorry and she is so laid back so it didn't bother her. I complained to the seller and they sent me a new one. Next time I see my sil I will give her the bag with her name spelled correctly.
