Mix or Match: Bridesmaid Hairstyles?

Mixing. I don’t like being told how to do my hair, so I don’t want to tell my girls!

Mixing. They all have very different hair and I want them to be comfortable!

I actually don't really care what their hair looks like. Although I'm sure they will all choose to wear their hair down with wand curls or to the side with wand curls.

I am paying for a professional stylist and there will probably only be a 30-minute allotment per girl so I told her to keep it simple.

Mixing- some have short hair and some have long so I would never expect them all to have the same style. They all wanted to do a braid somewhere in the style, but some will be doing up, some will be doing down depending on what they're comfortable with.

Mixing- i didn't even know what my girls were doing with their hair until it was done... i honestly didn't care haha

Mixing- since they are paying for theirs (if they want to get their hair done) they get to pick what they want. Everyone has different hair types and faces so, whatever works for one, won’t work for everyone.

I'm torn on this and I haven't completely decided yet. I think I am going to mix based on their preference because they all have such different hair.

Mix hairstyles. All my bridesmaids have different hair types (I have 1 African american and curly, 1 with really short hair, 1 with really long hair, 1 with curly hair, and 1 that's somewhere in between). So it will be whatever looks best on them.

I"m letting them choose whatever they want to do for hair and makeup. They are the ones who know what makes them feel and look beautiful

Mixing! I told my girls I don’t care how they have their hair done, it’s up to them. Whatever makes them comfortable. I’m paying for everyone’s hair to be done so I know whatever they choose will look nice.

I never understood making bridesmaids look exactly alike. All of my girls have such different styles and personalities I let them choose whatever style they wanted and they all looked awesome!

Somewhere in the middle — I told them I want them to all have a half-up hairstyle (I'm paying for their HMUA) but I'm letting them show the stylist their own inso pics so they can choose if they want braids, curls, etc.

Note — all of my bridesmaids have the same hair type.

Mix. I care literally zero what their hairstyles look like. I am paying for my hairstylist to do their hair, though, so they can feel pampered too!

I gave them COMPLETE freedom on their hair - the only person we had to be concerned about was the groomsman who decided to get a mohawk. And even for that, we just told him to style it down for the ceremony and formal photos. After that's over, wear it high and proud. Haha.

My girls range so much in ages, body types, hair types and personal styles so it wasn't fair to expect them to look uniform whether in dress, shoes, accessories or hair!

Mixed!!!!! I wanted everyone to feel beautiful and comfortable, and know that people can be particular about their hair!

My only guidelines were that I wanted the hairstyles to be really simple and not intricate or over-done, but each bridesmaid decided if they wanted their hair up, down, half up, to the side... whatever!

Hi Bailey! You make a good point here! I agree, your girls know how to best style their hair and have a preference that they feel most beautiful in, too, so freedom with hairstyles is appreciated.

Hi Kristen! Makes perfect sense In a way, you're letting your bridesmaids be themselves in their hairstyles, too, as everyones different and each one knows their own hair best.

Mix! I've mostly told them it'll be curled with some braids to add to the bohemian vibe for the big day

Mixing. One BM has super short hair, so there is no way for her to style it exactly the same as the other girls. And I want them to be able to choose what they want, not feel forced and be uncomfortable with what they were told to do.

They each chose their own 'do look - I think it's nice allowing people to have that freedom and express themselves, it makes everyone happier
