Mix or Match: Save-the-Dates & Invitations?

We are mixing. I don’t care enough to make them the same. Shutterfly had a sale when I needed STDs, and we are going with vistaprint for invites.

Mixing! I think it's fun to play around with the details but the overall style will be cohesive, I hope

Mixing. I'm having laser cut pocket invitations and because I want our save the date to have a photo from our engagement shoot they will have to be mixed.

Mix and match! The color scheme will be the same but save the dates will be our engagement photos and then a traditional invitation with no pictures.

Love it! I think it's fun to change it up as well, are you using a photo for your save the dates?

Mine will be different layouts and themes.

I'm just doing invitations. No save the dates.

I guess we are kind of mixing. They have similar elements and colors but aren't the exact same design.

Mine are completely different. But I used some of the fonts from the Save the Date for our ceremony sign. In the end, I think it all ties together, even though it's all very different.

Mixing. STDs were pretty simple. Invites will be more upscale and elegant.

We went for a matching style and theme! We used the same fonts and gold foil accents throughout our save-the-dates and invitations!

(Save the date is the top right card!)

We mixed, I think looking back I would've had them matched, but I really wanted the invitations to be the stationary to set the tone so we got STDs we liked during a Vistaprint sale

We skipped STD. I think they are a waste of paper. We just sent invites early

Totally makes sense! My cousin did the same, sometimes you just gotta go for the sale!

Mixing. I had different Save the Dates I designed through Vistaprint and the invitations, inserts, and place cards I ordered templates from Etsy.

Probably won't do matching. We have toyed around with Shutterfly for STDs and looked at invitation suites at Michael's. We have some time on this but unless we can find a super great deal on all of them, probably mixing it up.
