Mixed seating - tables and lounges

AJanuzelli, on August 4, 2021 at 2:31 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

Hi all

Does anyone have photos/inspiration of mixed seating receptions? Looking for ideas on how to incorporate both rounds with chairs and a few sofa/chair/bench lounge areas. Budget is not a concern, so I want to really make some cozy areas but still have it flow with the traditional rounds and chairs. Anyone have anything?

Will guests be sitting at the tables to eat?

If you haven't already, I would check Pinterest. I've seen it done, but it's usually been as 2 separate areas: like main reception had regular tables/chairs for eating and then a separate space off to the side (not necessarily a separate room) with sofas/benches and such.

I went to a wedding where they had lounge furniture just off the dance floor. It was nice because the furniture was lower than the tables so anyone sitting at the tables could easily see the dancing with no blocked view. Dancing guests could take a little break on the lounge furniture with a drink and go back out ❤️

There is enough room for guests to eat at tables and have lounge areas as well. It's a less formal event.
