Modern or Traditional: Honeymoon Timing?

Traditional! We are leaving the morning after the wedding to fly to Cabo!

Modern-ish. We are taking one week off to recuperate and settle down a smidge before heading off on the honeymoon.

We are not taking our honeymoon right away. Planning on going to the Azores Islands next year.

Amazing! We aren't beach people, so we didn't spend time there. We pretty much soaked in the history and the feel.

We went to Meteora, Delfi, the island of Aegina. It was just breathe taking.

Traditional. We did take the day after our wedding to relax and pack, but we left for a two week honeymoon two days after getting married. We didn't want to wait!

Modern unfortunately.

we are getting married in June and honeymooning in November.

we could not afford to go right after and we didn't want to push our wedding back to November because our 5 year anniversary is in June

Modern for sure. We don't have the money to be able to do that, so we'll probably be taking off a week or two from our jobs and go on a mini-moon just to get away, but definitely a year out at least.

Modern. I think we’ll plan a small get away for a few days right after the wedding but otherwise my future husband is right in the middle of his lineman apprenticeship and can’t take much time off so we’ll plan a bigger trip once his apprenticeship is finished up

This was a big decision for us. There were too many unknowns in my job to book too far in advance. We really wanted to go right away, but I didn't think I'd be able to. So we booked a mini moon and planned to go on a big trip a few months later.

About three months before the wedding we had some more changes in schedules, so we cancelled the mini moon to book the big honeymoon the month of our wedding. Originally we wanted to go two days after the wedding, but it didn't work out and we went a week later. I am SO glad we waited because things were just too crazy. I think even two weeks later would have been okay.

Modern! He'll be in school so we'll take our honeymoon during a break rather than right after the wedding!

We are probably going to do a mini-moon and then wait until we recoup our funds to take a nice long honeymoon

Modern..we’re taking our honeymoon a month after the wedding so we can get things in order before we leave w/o rushing & just calm down from the chaos lol

Modern: We are purchasing our first home at the end of January and paying for most of the wedding so waiting till our 1 year anniversary sounds great!
