Modern! We are having a December wedding, so we will definitely be waiting until at least after Christmas to go on our honeymoon.

Traditional, I guess. We're getting married in Hawaii so we decided to just stay there afterwards for about a week and do our little honeymoon there. Then we're hoping to plan a full one in the Maldives for our one year!

We have no clue! Fiancé has used up almost all his vacation time to care for his dad who has a stroke, and works a job that is year round. I can’t get vacation time after the wedding because I work in academics.

We are tying to figure this out! We definitely want to do SOMETHING right after the wedding, but may have to save up for a bigger trip later!

Modern- I’ve talked to other couples who were so stressed from their wedding that planning and packing for a honeymoon right after the wedding just added to the stress. I want to be able to bask in the after wedding glow (and hangover) without being in the hot sun on a beach somewhere

If a second-me who's not stressed out about planning two weddings (one in PA, one in China) could appear and plan our honeymoon and assure us that it won't have conflicts with work (which we probably won't know until a few months before and who plans a honeymoon of a lifetime just a few months ahead?!) I would totally do it... Smiley xd

So the answer is no, we'll be doing it the "modern" way and wait for at least our 1 year anniversary.

We are leaving the weekend after! We are going on a cruise and the one we wanted leaves either the day after or the weekend after and we dont want to be hungover and tired when we leave so it works perfectly!

The only downside we have to go back to work for a few days before we leave Smiley sad

I wish it was traditional, but since we're paying for EVERYTHING and hopefully a house 1 yr after our wedding, it'll definitely be way later. We are doing a honeymoon suite the night of the wedding though, that's good enough for me. Smiley smile

I'm not sure on this. I'd guess probably modern, so we're not stressed out on the wedding day about traffic and boarding etc. But I'm sure it will be within a couple of days.
Quite honestly, the honeymoon is the one thing I have barely considered so far. 🙈
