Modern or Traditional: Paying for the Wedding

Modern my finance and I are pretty much paying everything but family is pitching in where they can. A lot of my family all have there own business as far as catering and things so they're helping out with those things.

My parents are paying for everything wedding related. His parents are paying for rehearsal dinner. And my fiance and I are paying for our honeymoon.

Modern. FH and I will split the costs with no help whatsoever from any of the parents.

My wedding is Mixed. About 60% is from us and my parents have the other 40%. However we have large gifts from very close friends that helps out as well... nit over all its coming together GREAT! NObody questions what we like or dont like... everyone just says YES! LOL.

Modern. We are paying for most if it ourselves. My parents have offered to pay for some random small things like 1/2 of my veil, our snack mix bar at the reception & my mom paid for our save the dates. Very thankful for the help, anything they do, no matter how small is something less we have to cover!

Modern. My FH and I are paying for a portion of the wedding and my parents are also helping with the wedding and they're paying for the rehearsal dinner.

We paid for half and my dad and stepmother paid for half (they offered and also spent a good amount on my stepsister and stepbrother's weddings). My FH's parents gave us a pre-wedding gift that amounts to about 20% of the wedding cost. We are very fortunate to have their financial support!

Mostly modern. FH and I have picked up most of the bills except for venue and food which my parents are graciously paying for. We just pay as we go and have noticed we don't spend as much when we do that since we don't have it. Lol!

Modern! This is a second wedding for us both, and we are more than happy paying for it ourselves! Our families are both incredibly excited and supportive of our marriage, but we felt that they shouldn’t feel obligated to help us pay for it!

Traditional i think? My mom is footing most of the bill, but I am helping pay for as much as I can.

We're paying. Then there shouldn't be any issues about what we do or don't do for the wedding. 🤞

Modern. Myself and FH are paying for nearly everything. My dad paid the deposit for the venue and that's all the help we have gotten thus far. My dad doesn't believe in spending money on a one day event.

Modern. My fiancé and I are paying for majortity our wedding and my parents will chip in as well.

Modern, we are paying for most of it but our parents are pitching in a little bit as well.
