I had given my MOH the theme colors and I wanted to do light colors, more on white, blush tones, and I added burgundy like an accent. I told her I'd like her to wear rose gold, light colors because I only want my groom to have that accent color. She said light colors don't mesh with her and requested a darker color for her dress, so I added burgundy or even dark navy as an option for her. She went dress shopping and found some dresses, one popped up with a fushialike color (I've attached because the darn dress tag says it's purple but it's sooo not), and a red dress. None of these are part of my theme and I don't know what to do! I don't have bridesmaids and I told her this dress won't work because it's not part of the theme and she'll stand out like crazy. Is there such a rule that the MOH picks her own color? What do I do?

Personally, if im paying 20+ grand for my wedding, your wearing whatever color i tell you to, thats just something you accept when you say yes to being a bridemaid or MOH technically you dont even have to give her a choice of dress. I picked out 3 dresses and let my bridal party decide on whichever one they all liked best, but never did i give them a option for color, like i said 20+ grand for a wedding, your wedding at that, it isnt about her its about you. Stand your ground.

You’ve already been very accommodating of her needs. It’s not hard to find a navy or burgundy dress, even off the rack. You’re the bride and you chose a color scheme for a reason. I thought it was common knowledge that bridesmaid dresses are usually one of the colors that you use in your theme? Fuschia is most certainly not anywhere within or even bordering on your colors lol. Maybe you could try to find dresses in the colors you want that are similar styles to the ones she likes and suggest those options to her?
