moh Has Covid--15 Days Out

Kelly, on August 13, 2021 at 5:23 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

So my fully vaccinated MOH has tested positive for Covid. I am 15 days out from my wedding. She is still feeling okay. I am more worried about her than my wedding obviously. She may not be able to travel now (I am having a domestic destination wedding in OBX). Clearly too late to try to replace, plus she may be able to come. But chances are she could give this to her husband, kids, etc... and be quarantined longer.

This has me thinking should the FH and I get tested right before the ceremony to make our guests feel safer? She was fairly careful. She was vaccinated. This is happening everywhere. I want to put my guests at ease as much as possible and make them feel better about making this trip to be with us.

Thoughts?

Unless you came in contact with her I wouldn't worry. If you did, go get tested. If it makes you and your guests feel safer, offer face masks and hand sanitizer Smiley smile

According to the CDC after ten days of quarantine she will no longer be contagious. If have her test again on the eleventh day and if she is no longer positive she can most definitely attend if she is feeling up to it.

Since she’s vaccinated, she’s got a higher chance of having mild symptoms and a shorter length of sickness. I’d do like Rebelle said and have her get tested a few days before the wedding and if she’s negative (and without symptoms) she can come.
It’s up to you if you want to get tested. If you’re not vaccinated and you don’t plan on wearing a mask then it’s always a good idea.
