So I went to try on dresses for the first time ever. Walked out more confused than I was. I gave it a shot with trying on all the different styles and nowhere near deciding which one I prefer. Any ideas suggestions?Event is still 14 months away and I'm not freaking out but I have no idea what I'll do when I go again...which styles to focus on? Should I just trust the consultant? Any thoughts?
The 3 dresses I included above are the ones I liked the most
I'm glad you're open minded about trying different styles! It can be overwhelming if nothing sticks out to you in particular. Maybe if you look at what you like online to have a better idea of a vision then you can move more towards that? I know for me before I went trying on dresses I always saw certain styles in photos I really liked more than others
Dress three is gorgeous. All of them are nice on you. I'd say go with what's most comfortable for you and what you like your shape in the most. And if you really cannot decide then maybe one dress for ceremony and one for reception if you can afford it

Your figure is awesome in the fit and flare style!
I love dress 1 and 3 the most! You have a great body for those fit and flairs but I've always been partial to the princess dress! Do any of them fit your venue better? Or the time of year? I had a winter wedding and the bigger tulle dress kept me so warm! Whereas a beach wedding would have totally steered me towards a different style. Keep looking at photos and pay attention to how you feel when you look at these photos of yourself. Try to imagine your wedding photos, you dancing, etc. What do you see yourself wearing and liking most? Will one be more comfortable to wear all day over the other? I love the fitted dresses but they also would make me self concious about gaining weight over time, my stomach after I eat, etc. Just a personal preference thing!
I think dress 3 is absolutely stunning and looks great on you.... BUT the fit and flare style really flatters your body! Of course it all comes down to what you feel best in, but honestly I don't think you could go wrong!

Thank you! That's the problem I was most comfortable in 3 but I couldn't imagine seeing photos or spending the day in any of them (though I did like all of them a lot) It's end of September on the east coast so 60-70 sometimes even 80 degree weather.

I did!!! Dress 3 is what I had in mind and i feel most comfortable in it but it didn't steal my heart when I put it on. I shockingly liked other styles. Zero preference other than comfort
You know what? Initially I thought about doing something more body hugging and then finding a detachable skirt over it to change styles later. So I feel like maybe if you really can't decide it could be an option
I would focus less on trying to isolate a specific silhouette and more on all the specific details of each dress that you like and especially what you don’t like. Maintain that list, and share it with your next consultants. For me some of the most helpful try ons where when I put on a dress and thought “oh I love this BUT...” — those “buts” were important ! And helpful. I tried on a bunch of dresses and by the time I got to the store I got my dress from, I had a very specific list of demands! Haha, mostly a compilation of the small complaints I had about the dresses I had come across and otherwise liked — so at my final appointment it was like “okay. These styles seem to work well for me __, these details are things I love ___ , these things are absolute deal brealers___” and my consultant brought out a rack of seriously spot on dresses. She had me look them over and select the ones I wanted to actually try and I was like “eureka! I love them all!!” But even as i went through them there were tiny details (particularly regarding comfort) that Xed them off the list

That's a great idea actually I haven't tried any of those. My venue is not grand by any means so I don't think I could do a bigger dress for the entire party but I would like to at least make an entrance haha

I love dresses 1 and 3! Dress 2 looks a bit dated somehow? If I had to choose I would pick #3!

Funny you mention it, it is from 2018, was a sample sale $700 from over $3000 I think lol only reason I tried it but it felt like it might be a great fit for venue (and it is....)
