Mori Lee - ivory over caramel? DRESS pics included!

Has anyone purchased a dress in this combo? I tried one on today, and can't decide if it would lose some of its allure in ivory only. But, it looks almost brown in a few photos. I think I may need to try it on again in better lighting, but was hoping to see if anyone else has photos of this combo....

Thank you!

(Thoughts welcome too, of course!)

The bridal shop only had my dress in rose gold, I took the risk and ordered it in ivory. Trust your gut and just go with it, in my opinion.

I personally love the ivory over caramel! I think that it makes the lace and bead work pop.

I tried on my dress in only ivory/ivory but will be ordering it in an ivory/gardenia combo, which the boutique doesn't have in store for me to see, but I knew it makes the details pop more. I also think the lighting in the photos is poor and makes the dress look darker than it actually will.

If you're worried about looking "timeless", I wouldn't. Wearing ivory/white is not timeless, it's a color preference. The trend itself was started by Queen Elizabeth, prior to that people wore their Sunday best and most did not wear white or ivory because it's difficult to keep clean and wouldn't carry much use value. Just wear the color you want and feel best in!

@FMW - thank you! I think I need to go back and see if they'll let me stand outside the front door for a photo! I'm just so afraid the detailing would be lost on ivory over ivory...but I also don't know if the illusion back would pop more on my skin tone in ivory over ivory...which, better lighting could help that, too!

I'm personally a fan of ivory over color - it makes the lace details pop more. My dress is ivory over almond and champagne and I love it!
