Whoa, that is pretty extreme, Kaleigh!! Smiley surprise Will your photographer actually leave if she sees other cameras?

No, but she will stop taking photos and ask them to leave. My FH gave her permission to 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m literally only asking you to not use your phone for 15-20 minutes. It’s also venue policy for unplugged ceremonies. With my grandmother, you have to be that extreme or she won’t care.

Oh my. Well, if it's the venue and your photographer's policy and your FH gave them permission, then I guess extreme is how you've got to go. Smiley winking

Everyone...that is why we are not having an unplugged ceremony. Not something that I want to stress about.

Most of the people that I would normally be super concerned about this are actually not being invited for other reasons. We will have a sign out as people enter the venue and we will be having our DJ make an announcement before the ceremony begins. It’s also in our contract with our photographer that if someone is taking photos and the person interferes with the photographers they will be asked to put their devices away.

My younger cousin has joked about bringing a stick and smacking phones out of hands if he sees them. 🤣

My mother is the same way, Brandi! Picture of this, picture of that. Smiley amazing Hopefully she'll know to have her fun with it later and not during the ceremony or any other inappropriate time!!

Are you planning on having an unplugged ceremony?

A few of our family members, but my FH is giving our officiant our largest nerf gun in case any one ignores it. There's going to be an announcement regarding consequences before any one else comes out

LOL, I'm just imagining the officiant going through the ceremony with a nerf gun slung across his chest and his notes in one hand. Smiley laugh Oh man, I love the vibe that's giving off. Are you afraid any of your guests are going to take that the wrong way?

It'll be tucked behind a table for the most part, and if any one takes it the wrong way, they 1) don't know us and 2) will get forwarded the $3500 photographer bill.

Our ceremony will only be 17 people total, including wedding party, officiant, myself and FH. I'd love to stay to them "no phones!" however I know my mom will take pictures. It's the only time her daughter is getting married, so I'll let her have this. Now if she photo bombs a beautiful photo by my non existence photographer (at this time), she'll be mad at herself later, and I'll just photoshop her out of it, ha!

We didn't have an unplugged sign, but my SIL had her camera out in several ceremony pics. A few guests took their own pictures and I actually don't think I ever saw any of them.
