Most Realistic Silk Petals

Jennifer, on November 1, 2021 at 1:57 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

Our ceremony venue does not allow real petals. Before I go buy many different kinds of silk petals off Amazon and comparing them, has anyone found a specific brand of silk petals that looks realistic? I need Burgundy and Ivory.

I bought mine from Hobby Lobby. They look okay. They don't seem GREAT, but it'll do lol.

There's a huge price range and quality difference. I found some on Amazon that were like $10 for 1000 and then others that were like $20 for 500. You can definitely tell the $20 for 500 is way better quality and the $10 for 1000 are basically see-through haha. Then, again... if it's just going to be spread along the sides of the aisle, who really cares, you know? What were the quality like for the Hobby Lobby ones? I would use real petals, but our venue doesn't allow them because the oils from the petals makes their stone floor slick.

Gotcha! I'm glad you found some on Amazon if anything! did you happen to read the reviews? I read reviews ALL the time on Amazon lol.
The ones I got from Hobby Lobby did seem fair, but I personally feel like they would work to get the job done at least. If anything you can definitely stop by your nearest Hobby Lobby to check it out!! It's in the wedding aisle Smiley smile That way you can see it in person before you buy. They have different colors so if you don't want typical white or ivory flowers they do have red, purple, pink, etc.

Oh man - that's such a tough thing to check out online! I'd just rely heavily on reviews!!

There are also a lot of fake petal options on Etsy, PetalGarden.com, and QualitySilkPlants.com (these might be good: https://www.qualitysilkplants.com/fhr617.html).

I did order some samples from petal garden and waiting for them to come in. Their prices and quality seemed kind of halfway through the $10 for 1000 and the $20 for 500 on Amazon. I ran it through petal garden’s calculator thing and I would need 4,000-6,000 depending on the coverage I need and I would really rather not pay like $200 for fake petals for a 15 minutes affair lol. Petal Garden has them for $20 for 1000 so I’m hoping they’re decent.

Wow you're right - the price really adds up when you do the math on just how many petals you'll need!!

I hope those samples from petal garden are good! 🤞
