Mother of the bride and groom dress color

FMIL asked me what color to wear and I told her any color that made her feel beautiful and special, but to probably stay away from blush because that's what the BM's are wearing (BM's all picked out their own dresses). She asked me to go shopping with her and we have gone to a few stores so far. She tried on beautiful dresses that would all be lovely for the occasion, in various colors. She decided she wanted to lose more weight before buying a dress. I sent her pictures of the BM's in their blush dress picks so she's in the loop. My mom bought a navy gown, and FMIL loves it.

Then...She sends me a text with a screenshot of a dress yesterday, she has ordered a long, flowy blush dress that looks exactly like a BM dress. Lol. Sigh.

I don't know if I care what color our moms wear- my mom has asked though. My bridesmaids will be in royal purple and I can see both of our moms picking a lighter purple- because they both look good in it. I'm more specific with the dads- I want all three in orange ties.

My bridesmaids are wearing a light blue and two of them are wearing a slate (dark grey). The groomsmen are wearing a medium grey pant suit with white button down shirts & suspenders. I have asked the mothers to wear either grey or a blue. They can choose the shade of color they pick.

I told the mothers to wear whatever. FMIL chose an ivory dress, so I'm going to probably put my mother in ivory also.

My bridal party wore red and the moms wore navy blue and a dark green dress.

Honestly, my mom wanted me to tell her what to wear, lol. I tried telling her that it was completely up to her and whatever she picked would be fine, but she wasn't comfortable with that. So I went dress shopping with her and helped her pick a purple dress. My FMIL will be wearing royal blue. She also asked me for guidance, but since she's a plane ride away, that wasn't really feasible. My wedding colors are wine red & gold, and I'm not really concerned with the moms coordinating or anything.

I'm letting them pick. My mom chose to wear navy blue dress when my colors are light blue, gray, white and black.

I let them decide what to wear. FMIL is wearing a light pink dress because it is springtime and it looks great on her. My Mom is torn on what to wear because she feels like she needs to be "springy" too. She wants the bridesmaids to pick their dresses first before she commits to something. She looks great in royal blue and teal so I told her to get whatever she wants! She doesn't want to clash with anyone or stand out in the pictures, but I don't think that will happen.

FMIL chose a dark green dress, and my mother chose a navy blue dress. The guys will be in gray tuxes with plum colored vests. I think all of those colors go well together, but I let the mothers pick out whatever they wanted.

Our moms picked dresses they liked and felt beautiful in. Personally, I feel there is no need to coordinate parents with the bridal party. They're important enough on their own without being matched up with everyone else.
