Mother of the bride dress

Kristen, on June 30, 2019 at 4:38 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
I know I’ve made a discussion about this in the past but I’m back for ideas again! My mom has tried on about 50 dresses now, including a few from Azazie, and hasn’t liked a single one. She’s managed to find something wrong with every dress. I can’t say I’m surprised because she wa a horrible when she came dress shopping with me 😅

So, does anyone know where we might find a dress that fits her criteria (below)?

- not from a shop where an attendant will help her (ie DB)
- must have a high back and not too low of a neckline
- must be a-line
- needs to have at least short sleeves
- no gathering at the waist or anything that resembles a belt
- ideally a dress that comes in petite (she’s 4’11” size 14-16)
-preferably under $300

Try Ross? Or stores like those with lots of dress selections?

I would check out places like Dress Barn, Kohl's or one of the department stores.

Thank you! Don’t think she’s done Dress Barn yet. Also they’re closing so they may have some good deals

Do you have a Dillard’s near you? That’s where I’ve gotten most of dressy dresses. And you never know what you’ll find at Ross.

Since dress barn was already said try JCPenney. That where I've gotten my past several BM dresses, that's where my girls got their dresses from and both my mom and FHs mom found their dresses there too. FHs mom is super picky when it comes to clothes! But we finally found one that works

Have you tried Belk? I just went there yesterday with our moms. There was a big sale on formal dresses and both moms found something they loved.

My mom had great luck at Lord and Taylor. Nordstrom's has huge selection online as well, and you can have things shipped for free and return in store. Most stores have a bigger selection online, so regardless of store, that may be an option to explore.
