Mother of the Bride survival kit

?WhitneyNichole?, on March 3, 2012 at 10:28 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

I a mother of bride kit on etsy but I really don't like the way they had it set up. I do think it was a super cute idea! how many brides have done something like this? or like the idea?

This is the note attached to the baggie, I think I am going to do something like this.

I am doing this for my mom Smiley smile I don't like what they've included though...some of the stuff seems too silly and useless IMO.

I agree! Do you have any suggestions on something better to include?

Off the top of my head: travel size lint roller, (homemade) lip balm, antacid, pain reliever, tissues, wisps, mini sewing kit, safety pins, deodorant, her favorite perfume, hand sanitizer, hairspray, mini mani kit, (homemade) lotion, mints, panty hose.

I am doing similar kits for the BMs, GM and FH

Here are some other ones I found when I googled it

    Mints - for sweet breath

A bandaid - to hold your nerves together

A pack of kleenex - for when the tears start coming

A mirror - to check her makeup after crying.

A mini bottle of champagne - Take a moment to celebrate.

Note book - For last minute thoughts and advice for the bride as she walks down the aisle.

Baby Shoe - To remind you that your child is still your baby even if they are getting married.

Safety pin - to pin all your hopes and dreams for your daughter/son onto their wedding day

I'm using the poem that Missy wrote! I'm also doing a survival kit for my bridesmaids and mother of the groom!

It's such a cute idea! I definitely agree though, some of the items on that list seem a bit random. Missy's ideas are much better, all useful items!
