Hi Everyone, My mother and I have been searching for her dress and we can across this beautiful dress, but it's in black with silver gems. It comes in other colors but the silver gems only come with the black or charcoal. So now I pose the question, thoughts on a mother of the bride wearing black?...

My mother and I have been searching for her dress and we can across this beautiful dress, but it's in black with silver gems. It comes in other colors but the silver gems only come with the black or charcoal.

So now I pose the question, thoughts on a mother of the bride wearing black? She's nervous if she did end up going with it people would take offense?

    I don't think it's weird. My mom and FMIL can wear what they want. I know my FMIL will probably end up in navy and my mom may do black. I like dark colors. It's not weird. I wouldn't worry about it.

    When my son got married, my dress was black lace over beige. Sent a picture to future D, before I purchased it.....her comment " looks amazing....buy it ".....

    I told the mom's wear whatever makes them comfortable, if that's black then that's okay I don't see anything weird
