Mother/son dance

Does anyone have any suggestions for Mother/son dance songs? FMIL told us in the car last week she wants the song to he "count on me" by Bruno Mars. I let FH listen to it, and he hates it. It's really not a song about a mother and a son. She said she doesn't want sappy (isn't that the point?). She wants to "be-bop around the dance floor. We're looking for other songs to float past her. Any suggestions?

    We are struggling with this too. FH and MIL might do Darrius Rucker ' s Wagon Wheel. It's not bebop or about a mother and son but whatever it's their song.

    FH hates "simple man" because it's a song from a mother on her death bed to her son. That's what FH says anyway

    FH is dancing with his mom to a Portuguese song. Even though I'm Portuguese, I don't speak it so I have no clue what the lyrics are.

    My friend danced with her dad to "Faithfully" by Journey.
