Mountain venue ideas cheap

Elizabeth, on April 14, 2021 at 5:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
My dream is to get married on a mountain (or have mountains as backdrop as realistic compromise). We’re on a really tight budget ($5,000 for the whole wedding as we’re saving for a house and don’t want to blow a ton on a single day) We’re open to National parks, forests, etc. basically anywhere in the U.S.
PLEASE SHARE YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!!
(If y’all have reception ideas to go with, share those too!! Bonus points lol 😂)

Gatlinburg has great cabins that you could rent and have the wedding there. You could even have family and/or the wedding party stay there.

Where are you located? West coast, east coast, central mountains?

We’re both willing to do it in either area or somewhere in the middle. Picking where is the hardest part for our LDR 😆

Anywhere in the Cascades or Rockies. Many of their national parks have elopement packages/services as well as venues in surrounding towns. Mt Rainier and surrounding cities are gorgeous.

I second the Gatlinburg area. I got married there in March. It was beautiful. They have lots of elopement packages and tons of venues or locations.

If you go to Recreation.gov or grab the app, you can search for group campgrounds! We were able to reserve a 150 guest campground in Utah right above Sundance ski resort for less than $400 for the day and night! Since it’s a federal campground there are very few restrictions beyond guests numbers... we don’t need any permits (an issue we ran into a lot), even our bartender’s liability insurance is unnecessary. There’s permanent toilets and picnic tables that will comfortably seat all of our guests and the view is gorgeous! I’m sure you can find some cool options; Idaho has some awesome mountain camping.
We took this picture in January so all of those trees will be back and thriving by September. Good luck! Mountain venue ideas cheap 1

Wind River Mountains, Togwotee Pass, Pinedale WY, Sinks Canyon WY, Big Horn Mountains, Absarokas, lots of great places in Wyoming.

Estes Park outside of Denver CO has some beautiful spots and there are even a couple of companies that specialize in weddings in the area. It's also nice because there is plenty of lodging nearby for guests.
