I mean...I was obsessed with wedding movies before I ever got engaged.

Always watching Say Yes to the Dress. Also loved David Tutera when it was on. 4 weddings too.

For movies it would have to be, Father of the Bride, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Wedding Singer, While You Were Sleeping (does that count? idc)

Wedding Crashers is another one, not because I particularly like it, but just that FH will watch it at least every other month, and if he's not watching it, he's reciting lines from it in random conversation

When i was in college , my roommates and i used to watch say yes to dress and four weddings so often! haha but afterwards i never watched tv anymore so i didn't really watch much tv related shows while engaged

I loved all of these things before but it just added to it after he proposed lol. I was able to see what was similar or different so that was kinda fun too.

I think watching 4 weddings can be so stressfull ! I don't know the US version, but in France girls are SO MEAN ! They refuse to eat anything that is served, their favourite sentence is "that is so not wedding-like !", "it doesn't suit for a wedding ! ". I was so stressed up watching it before my wedding... I was imagining my guests criticise everything like that during my wedding...

Yes, I love it ! All those films about love and weddings from the years 2000, I was watching them being single and dreaming about all those things one day. I was that Jane, going to other people's weddings

It's funny, when I was single I watched a lot of romantic comedies but I rarely watch them in a relationship.

I did watch a lot of say yes to the dress and curvy brides boutique when we first got engaged... but I basically have seen all I can get access to (it goes on and off our free on demand channels here), so I watch whatever new little snippets they put up on youtube or wherever but not much else.

I definitely don't want to watch movies where the wedding is a disaster from start to finish like bride wars etc, but do occasionally watch bits of movies to see how the ceremony was structured or whatever - including the royal weddings. For example, I wanted to know where most people lift the veil if the dad doesn't do it, and weirdly enough, both at Prince Harry and Prince William's weddings, they did it during some random hymn at the beginning of the ceremony, so not really when people were looking, as such?

Anyway, it's interesting to see how the ceremonies are put together! I'm glad ours won't be even half as long as those!

I'm not watching so many but these have not been mentioned: Leap Year with Amy Adams, P. S. I Love You with Hilary Swank and When in Rome with Kristen Bell (it is a different one than the one with the Olsen twins). The Hilary Swank movie shows her designing her own shoes -- for those here who are doing that too. Most of these movies are about finding the guy though, but the Kristen Bell one starts with a trip to Rome for the sister's wedding.

It was a bit funny in When in Rome there was a one liner something like "oh. you have an Amsale gown." I guess there was a deal made in the selection of the sister's wedding gown. lol

Does Shrek count as romantic movies? Or only for ogres?
