Moving & Planning a Wedding

Caitlyn, on December 3, 2019 at 1:03 AM Posted in Pennsylvania Planning 0 3
Hi there! My fiancé and I are getting married in October 2021; preferably in northeast or central PA. We currently live in Baltimore, MD but will be moving closer to our original home before the beginning of 2020.

Any budgeting tips?
We’ve been doing plenty of venue tours since October books fast and it’d be nice to have our venue booked well over a year in advance. We’ve looked at a few in York, one in NJ right over the PA border, and some closer to the Wilkesbarre area.

    Welcome to the community Caitlyn!

Congratulations on your engagement! You certainly have some busy yet super exciting times ahead!!

The first thing that I suggest for your budgeting is to set a realistic budget that you are both happy with and stick to it. This will seriously help with any overspending! WeddingWire actually has a great Budget Tool that helps you to break down your budget and personalize it to your wedding which might be worth checking out.

Have you thought about your guest list yet? This will obviously help you settle on a realistic budget for the wedding you want. Keep in might that more guests mean a more expensive wedding!

What style of venues have you been looking at?

I live near Wilkes-barre. The areas venue vary greatly but there are a ton of all inclusive venues. I’m getting married at the Mary Stegmaier mansion, my friends at the radisson In Scranton. There’s country clubs, outdoor venues, and historic houses available. What are you looking for?
