Mua- no connection

Mua- no connection 1
(Sorry... don't know why it turns the picture sideways. )
I did my first trial with an artist. Cons: I didn't feel any connection with her, felt like I was just another appointment (like she didn't want to know about my dress, hair, contacts vs glasses, etc)? When I asked if she wanted to know, she just sort of shrugged and was like "sure". Her price is high for me and the area.
Pros: she's available at my way-too-early time. I generally liked her work, even though we have to fix the foundation color.
I guess my question is: if I'm not unhappy with her work, should I stick with her? Or should I do a trial with someone else?

I would do a trial with someone else just in case. You want people you can feel comfortable around on your wedding day.

I'd do another trial before deciding! To me, quality of hair & makeup is the most important. I could care less about our conversation as long as she is on time & does great work.

You could always do another trial just in case. Side note: what lashes are you wearing?! They look beautiful.

It looks great. But you need to connect with them.

You should be in LOVE with your makeup imo. If you think it's fine or just ok, especially for a high price, I would do a trial with someone else.

If you're pleased with her work, I wouldn't worry about it. The quality of her work is the most important thing, and everyone has to make some adjustments after the trial

I mean a connection is nice but putting things into perspective you are only gonna deal with her 2 hrs maybe 3 max and probably not that. To me if I pay you to do your job right and you do I am satisfied. I think you look good but if you are not fully satisfied with your look then I would do another trial elsewhere. To me it makes more sense to have a good relationship with photographers and the officiant or any person you will deal with for hours on end. Smiley smile Ultimately it depends on what is important to you. If a connection and conversation is then I think you should look for it.

Thanks! She gave me the box and it says "Creme". 🤷‍♀️ I don't usually like strip lashes on me, but loved these!

Hair and Makeup of the bride are sooooo important, if you don’t feel comfortable with her, just look for a different makeup artist 👍🏻

It honestly sounds like you already know.... you should go with someone else. I loved my makeup artist, we talked the whole time and she seemed really excited. I had emailed another makeup artist who was never quick to respond and basically told me she could squeeze me in. I didn’t want to be treated like a second thought so I immediately stopped communicating with her. She never contacted me again so even more proof. My makeup artist made as many corrections as necessary during our trial.

I'm not big on lashes either but they make a difference in photos. Hard to find ones that are very natural like that, especially for someone like me with eyes that are close to my brows. I'll see if I can poke around on the internet and find those. Thanks!
