mua with no trial? Have you done this?

🙋🏻‍♀️I did! I don’t know why but I had complete trust in the stylist to give me the look I wanted and I never even been to her before. I know that my MOH always goes to her and she always looks great so I booked her. As for make up myMOH did mine and most of the bridesmaids and MOB (no she isn’t a professional mua)😂. They did a great job and I was so happy with the look. Got many compliments ☺️☺️☺️. Good Luck and congratulations !!!🎊🎉

I didn’t have a trial! I had one booked and then I had to go out of town last minute for a funeral a few weeks before my wedding on the day the trial was set. It was going to be tough to schedule a new one and my hair and makeup artist said I would be fine without one so that’s what I did. I wasn’t one of those brides with detailed pictures of how I wanted to look. I just said hair half up with some curls and makeup do whatever you think looks best on me. I said y’all are the experts! It worked out perfectly.

I had a trial but decided to change my makeup afterwards. Also, on the day of my trial the makeup artist was unable to make it so the hair stylist did my makeup so my makeup was more or less done without actually having a trial.

Im not doing a trial either, I really researched artists and am going to show them inspo pictures and tell them specifically my preferences

If you're worried at all, you can always schedule a little extra time to fix and tweak stuff if needed

I can't afford a trial so I'm just going to have lots of inspiration pictures and I'm going to really push the fact that I don't wear makeup day to day and would like something more natural looking so when I look back on my pictures I recognize myself haha. I've had my hair done in the past and I'm not sweating the hair too much. I don't want anything too fancy, just a nice updo, so I'm sure I don't need to worry much. The makeup scares me more but I know no matter what I'll still look great day of.

I had a trial. But because of a scheduling issue with the salon, it wasn’t with the MUA who will be doing my makeup the day of the wedding. She said everything is written down and they took pics, and the other MUA should be able to copy the look, but I’m taking a risk. But what can I do? I’m getting my hair done there too and besides, everybody is booked up.

That volume alone is so bombshell to someone like me, who has had curled hair MAYBE three times in my life I'm terrified of trying something glamorous (like I'm considering) for my hair and makeup so I'll definitely be shelling out a few extra bucks for a trial beforehand. Love how yours turned out so perfect even without the trial!

View Quoted Comment The last time I did anything with my hair besides a blowout was the last time a family member got married maybe three years or so ago so I don’t do that often either but I love how make up and dramatic hair make me look and feel and I knew that’s what I wanted on my wedding day. Besides the lashes I forgot I even had make up on at times, but my sisters definitely reminded me when I came back from the private photos at the park and my lipstick was all over my face 😆😆😆they just looked at me and were like “Get your ass in the room we have to touch you up. What kinda makeout shoot were you guys doing at the park? You should be ashamed of yourself!” 😂

I have booked my H&MU person already - paid in full for everything, but have yet to have a "trial". We will do one a week and 1x day before the wedding. Booking a H&MU person was so difficult. I had so much trouble finding someone that I liked that communicated well. When I found her and she sent me her portfolio I loved it. Honestly, I am not nervous.

Thank you ladies! You’ve eased my fears! My stylist is just doing the big lush curls she always does for me but I have no experience with the makeup artist at the salon. I’m not terribly picky. I want soft and delicate makeup “classic bride” look, no glam or pinup looks.

I didn't have a trial. The girl who I booked to do hair & makeup had done my makeup for my engagement pictures, so I was just going to count that as the trial. Well for the wedding she had to bring another girl since so many were wanting both done, so it was a different girl that ended up doing my makeup anyways, and it turned out great!
