Music for beach ceremony

Jessie , on July 8, 2018 at 9:53 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
My fiancé and I are having a very small wedding on the beach. We have our officiant and photographer but we realized we don’t have a way to play music for the ceremony. We aren’t having a formal reception so no DJ. What should we do?

Have you looked into hiring a violinist or acoustic guitarist just for the evening?

Or can you bring wireless speakers and play music from an ipod?

Oooh, what about a ukulele musician? That might be cool for a beach wedding. Have you heard “Somewhere Over the Rain is” song on ukulele. So sweet!!! I forgot the singer’s name but YouTube it. Would be amazing if the musician was a guy who could sing that song too.

Hi Jessie! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! Smiley ring A violinist, guitarist, pianist, band, or other type of instrumentalist, would be a great alternative! Are you interested in looking for any?

We’re having a tiny beach wedding as well, and are using a Bluetooth speaker with a playlist on an iPhone for our music. Just hope it’s loud enough to be heard over the waves! Smiley smile

Thanks for all the input! I am really interested in getting a Bluetooth for the ceremony since we could use it for other events. My only concern is if it’s going to be loud enough and who is going to change the songs etc.

Not sure what to tell you about the volume other than bring the speakers to the location far in advance and try it out to see how it sounds. And is there a friend or relative you’d trust to just start and stop the music?

Costco sells a battery powered mixer/music player with mic input. Look into that.
