What do you and your guests like? Also ask your dj what they suggest and let them read the crowd

I’m actually planning my best friend a surprise reception. And we are just doing something small and doing the music on our own.

I did this for our reception we went of Spotify and found all these great playlists for weddings made our own and took songs from all them to create something cool with a little of everything

We are such huge fans of all different kinds of music, it was easier to create a "do not play" list. Bands and/or songs we don't like. Then we told our DJ what genres we like best. Like 80s pop, classic rock, country, etc. Last thing was a short list of "must play " songs.
