Picking the music was one of the fun parts for us ❤️ Not sure of the style you’re seeking, but we like 80s and classic music. A few of our favorites we had at dinner were: LOVE by Michael Buble, Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers, Kenny G, Take My Breath Away by Berlin. We did a variety that reflected our personalities, like my husband loved Mister Rodgers growing up and we found a jazz song of Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood- loved it!!

    Hope this helps!! ❤️❤️❤️

Yes! This is totally my style as well. I’m trying to expand my horizons and have a variety of music for our guest. We have had so much fun picking songs! Thank you, we will be adding these to the playlist 🤪

What style(s) are you interested in? We mixed in jazz, Latin jazz and salsa music for our cocktail and dinner hour. For dancing we had 80s R&B, 90's hip-hop, cupid shuffle, Soca and Calypso, Pharrell, Lizzo and Silk Sonic. Classic songs also offer fresh takes, like Gaga's duets with Tony Bennett. Since we were outdoors in the fall, we played Cassandra Wilson's cover of Harvest Moon for a slow song. Think about the age range of who you're inviting and what will get them on the dance floor. We have friends who are competitive Latin dancers, so we planned for them, and for my Husband's West Indian relatives, and for the hip-hop heads, and for the aunties and uncles who just want a good two-step or line dancing beat. Smiley laugh We incorporated music from artists repping our hometowns too!

Even our Rev. and Hubby's Trini grandmother got on the dancefloor! A friend has since asked for our DJ's info and when we explained that we gave him a spreadsheet, our friend asked if we'd share our spreadsheet with him!

    Have fun with it!
