Hi ladies. The very first meeting we had with our ceremony musician band leader, I asked her what they would be wearing and told her our colors. Now 11 days before the wedding she's saying she doesn't have ANY solid tops in any colors( I asked her about black or white and still "no"). So at this...
Hi ladies. The very first meeting we had with our ceremony musician band leader, I asked her what they would be wearing and told her our colors. Now 11 days before the wedding she's saying she doesn't have ANY solid tops in any colors( I asked her about black or white and still "no"). So at this point I have no clue what she or the other woman in the band will be wearing besides "wedding appropriate" and "nothing distracting". The one man in the band is wearing white top black tie black pants. Are you all having live music at your ceremony? How did you discuss attire? Am I being a controlling bridezilla by wanting them to wear something solid or in our color scheme? Also for context: this woman is a vocalist and I'm paying her $100 to sing two songs. She lives in the area so travel expenses aren't an issue for her. The keyboard player will be playing preceremony, and we'll also have guitar during the ceremony at a specific time (not throughout). Our coordinator can make corsages/boutonnieres for them but who knows if it will clash. I'm a little frustrated.

I didn't tell her she had to wear our color. I asked her what she was going to wear and didn't get a clear answer, then I told her the colors and she kind of nodded her head. That was a few months ago. Now earlier this week she contacted me saying "we will be wearing black" which I took to mean all black. I asked if she could wear a white top and black bottom instead, to which she responded she has no solid tops in any color, which through me for a loop. At the end of the day it's not a big deal. I was more upset about the lack of conversation and seemingly contradictory info she was giving me. This is not the only issue I've had with her. Plus, she is the leader of the worship band at the church so I'm thinking don't church bands (of course it varies) wear the same or complementary colors? I guess not this band. And the fact that I'm paying her $100 for only 2 songs. I'm not worried though- I've got bigger fish to fry.
