My baby urge is strong today!

Dj Tanner, on March 24, 2021 at 10:12 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 28
Ughh we’re dying to get pregnant! But I know we have to wait until after the wedding! It’s only less than three months! There is no way I can get pregnant now! Especially the fact that I gave in and bought my dream Pronovias dress over the summer. It was more than I wanted to spend but it was definitely -the one-.

Hopefully, God willing, I can get pregnant right after the wedding. That would mean that our honeymoon to Disney would be an alcohol free, roller coaster ride free time, but it’s definitely a trade off than willing to make!
We were with my fiancé’s niece this past weekend and he’s just so great with her. I know he’s gonna be the best dad ever.
Is anyone else having a hard time fighting the urge of not getting pregnant before the wedding?
I guess I’m just looking for encouragement to hold out for less than three months and not get pregnant! I definitely want to drink on my wedding day!
Any words of encouragement about holding off until after the wedding would be greatly appreciated LOL

Start babymaking during the honeymoon! That way you can enjoy booze and coasters and have your own...roller coaster...later in the day.

Is your honeymoon right after the wedding? I've always heard you can "drink til it's pink" i.e. during your two week wait, so there's no reason not to drink in your honeymoon. Otherwise that would be a long time to go without alcohol!

Other than that I'd say it's just 3 months, you can do it! It is so close and will fly by. I have the opposite problem, we are waiting until marriage for sex so now I get to be scared of accidentally getting pregnant, lol.

Agree with Julie! You'll be so in love and over the moon on your honeymoon, the baby making will come naturally! Good luck!!

I hear you! We’ve been together for 10 years, going on 11 now and we do have sex, but we are both super careful about it. basically to the point of waiting until after the wedding. I definitely could’ve never not had sex with him for the past 10 1/2 years LOL! But I do think it’s amazing and wonderful when people have their first time after their wedding!

Thank you!!!! Our honeymoon is the second week of September, so between the time after my wedding in June to the time of our honeymoon I’m just going to try to use that time to put my body full of really good healthy organic foods and really take the time to kick up my folic acid intake. I should probably see a GYN during that time frame but I never go because they hurt and they scare me haha

Oh I can totally see the struggle in waiting those few months in between! I would try to look at it as a form of a "baby moon" and just enjoy the heck out of your new husband for those months before future baby is made. And yes! It will be some time to take the best care of your body and prepare yourself! And of course, time to work up the courage to go to the lady doctor LOL!

The timing on this post is perfect since I'm going to the gyn today, lol! Not looking forward to it 😭since your honeymoon is delayed I'd maybe try NTNP after the wedding unless it's super important that you drink on your honeymoon. It might take a little while for you to get pregnant so you might get your honeymoon baby anyway! I think starting folic acid is a great idea as well. Best of luck!!

UGH I have the worst baby fever! Especially since my SIL and her hubby are trying right now! Our wedding is a little less than a year away, and I think we will probably start trying a couple weeks before the wedding! It feels so far away, but I'm sure the time will go fast for both of us!

I don’t either! I have so many friends around me having babies, I’m sure I will get my fix. My fiancé and I will be the BEST, coolest aunt and uncle, but we aren’t in a hurry for our own either. It’s totally okay if you’re not interested in or ready to have babies!

I understand this! I'm getting my iud replaced soon and I told my doctor it will be coming back out in about a year. I have to wait until after our wedding and I want to lose about 100 pounds before I start trying.

    Don't.

You'll feel TERRIBLE the day of your wedding.

    First trimester is ROUGH.

I'm older than DH, so I've had baby fever forever.

I even volunteered with babies for a while to try to take the edge off.

    Made it worse.

Then our friends had kids and I went fully auntie...

Thank you so much for this comment. My Mother in law keeps getting on us about having a baby. We just want to go at our own pace. It will happen when it happens.

Of course!! I'm so thankful for my "natural born mama" friends because I know I will adore their children so much, but don't necessarily care for my own right now. Absolutely go at your own pace! It's not a race.
