Big deal or no? We are having our ceremony in my church that I attended when I lived in Texas. Big deal or no? We are having our ceremony in my church that I attended when I lived in Texas. My mom and my God parents still go to that church and the pastors there are great - so I don't plan on changing the location, plus it's about 8 mins from the reception ballroom. But the way how the church is set up, there are 3 seating sections and 2 aisles ( far left seating section, left aisle, large middle section, right aisle, far right seating section - I hope you guys can visualize this). During our e- photoshoot with our photographer, I told him this and he asked, " is it a real church or a building that is used for church services?" Lol. It's a real church- it just doesn't have a middle aisle. My question is, would it be weird if we only used one side and aisle of the pew? Both aisles? Would it be weird attending as a guest? Sit all family in the center? Just want to hear opinions/experiences or even suggestions . TIA

I never attended a wedding there before but I am meeting with the coordinators next month.

The church is pretty large, I will have to see how many seats the center and the left side can hold.

But for now- I'm thinking fill in the center first with parents and close fam in the front and try using one aisle.

We will see, I will ask my videographer, FH and coordinators at the church.

    thanks everyone for the suggestions

I was in a wedding where the sanctuary looked like what you are describing. She had people sit in all three sections, but most in the middle, and just walked down one aisle and out the other! It really wasn't that big a deal!

I have this same issue. I have thought about either blocking off one side and using the one aisle as the center/main focus aisle. I’ve also thought about the bm & gm rotating aisle. First couple go down the right aisle & the second couple down the left aisle. As for me I’d walk down the right aisle halfway with my stepdad then cross over & finish down the left aisle with my father. This is just a thought though lol. I figured I’d block a row off anyway midway for the photographers to be able to stand and take shoots from different angles.
