My DIY 1,000 Costco Wedding Flower ummm... tutorial?

Several people have asked about wholesale flowers, the price, the quality and how it all works. I thought I’d share a few pictures from the day they arrived, and some tips. (I’m by no means a pro, or anything close to the perfection and amazingness that Centerpiece is, but hey – who is, really?)...

***Let me start by saying – if you have never done this before, I wouldn’t suggest trying it out for the first time for your wedding. It is time consuming, and also- you want your flowers to look A-mazing. It can be very cost effective, but please don’t stress yourself right before your wedding. I’ve done CPs and bouquets for several weddings – for me, it’s fun and relaxing. I knew it would be just what I needed the week of my wedding to calm me down a bit.

"for me, it’s fun and relaxing. I knew it would be just what I needed the week of my wedding to calm me down a bit."

you know, now that I think about it, I felt the same way about making my wedding cake.

Hubby and I got to sit down and paint the fondant, and though I was very nervous about everything, I liked doing it. Smiley smile I knew it would never be my best work, but I loved doing the project together.

I wanted things to have a bit of a 'imperfect' look, like my bouquet did. I didn't want things to look like it came off a assembly line, and that's how our hand-painted cake was Smiley smile

Thanks for reminding me of a nice wedding memory, makes me smile. Smiley smile

Yes, What OGLaura said about the strippers. They are cheap. I always seem to damage the stem when I've used them, so I stick with the shears.

I forgot completely to talk about the spray roses (tiny baby ones).. I'll include that and pics of CPs when I get a chance! Smiley smile

Following - I know I'm not going through a florist but I wasn't sure if it would be less expensive for artificial or live.
