Today I've been working on heart shaped confetti out of book #1. Not from my personal book that I read, but rather an old copy I found at the thrift store for $1. It was falling apart. I got an inexpensive hole puncher from Joann's with a 50% off coupon. Voila! Easy DIY Smiley smile

We will use them on the welcome table, cake table and our sweetheart table. Still not sure if I want them on all the tables although one book will make way more than enough.

I have seen these on Etsy but they are more expensive and with the simplicity of the project, I decided to do it myself Smiley smile

You should order a snitch cake for the groom's cake like the one Mrs. Weasley baked for Harry on his 17th bday!!

I love this!!! We are doing HP elements in our wedding too! I'm doing similar things that you listed and also want to make the card box as a hogwarts trunk! Love your cake topper idea! Smiley winking

That is absolutely fantastic!! I'm going to get my HP part into the wedding by naming half of the tables with HP locations (the other half are Star Wars planets). I have Hogwarts, Hosgmead, Diagon Alley, #12 Grimmauld Place, The Burrow, and Godric's Hollow!

@LSC_sf, do you have any ideas I might have missed?

@Alison, I love that! I would have done it if we didn't have so many guests who speak Spanish only so numbers work better than words.

I was going to have "Mischief Managed" on the bottom of my shoes but I'm still not sure if I will do it.

I'm such a HP nut and I love all these details! Our bands I'm engraving the inside with "Always" and my son (our RB) is also doing the book rather than pillow route. I wish our venue allowed confetti because I would 100% do that Smiley laugh

    So great!! Love it!

We are using Spiderman and Xmen touches subtly so this is right up my alley!

Sooo freakin cute! And I love how on each heart you can totally tell from key words that it's from a HP book!

Mischief managed on your shoes would be super cute! I wanted to incorporate a snitch somehow (still thinking that one through) and we're going to have some HP props mixed in with our photo booth props (wands, glasses, hats, etc.). I really like your confetti idea so I may steal that Smiley smile and we're doing the 9 3/4 table number too and having an always quote as a sign by our table or by the guest book! My friends were joking about dancing into an epic HP music number haha, but we'll see about that one. I also thought of making our signs (Photo Booth sign, cards, etc) in the HP letters. We're trying not to go overboard with it, but hints here and there for our friends that know Smiley smile. I'm still thinking of other ways!

A friend bought us a bag of the confetti as an engagement gift..otherwise I'd never be able to do it myself. Kudos to you for figuring out how to do it for so cheap though! One of our wedding signs has "You're the Ron to my Hermione" on it, we're using various HP soundtrack selections are the prelude, one of my shoes has Mischief and one of FH's has Managed, we've got a tiny golden snitch that we're hiding on our cake (SUPER tiny)...and I think that's it?

I HATE Snape and the whole "Always" thing drives me crazy for that very reason..otherwise I'd use something like that too.
