Great start so far! Budget is important. Next, consider estimated guest count, and then start researching venues within your budget that can hold the number of guests you're looking to host. For cheaper venues, consider local parks or non-traditional venues such as a library or aquarium. Once you have a venue booked, then start looking for any vendors you may want to hire, such as a photographer or DJ. Start with the details that will cost the most, then work your way down from there. When buying a dress, check out secondhand dress shops, online (Azazie is a good option), or even Amazon or Lulu's. Also, check out a wedding planning checklist - there is one here on Wedding Wire, and there is also one on The Knot! Those will help guide you through the planning process so that you focus on each detail at the right time. Happy wedding planning!

You're welcome! One other thing I forgot to add is, if you ever need wedding advice or get stuck on an aspect of planning or even just want to show off parts of your wedding that you decided on (centerpieces, dresses, etc), always feel free to post on these forums! There is a checklist on this platform you can utilize. I found it to be extremely helpful.

I wouldn't stress, you still have awhile to go which is more than enough time!

Hey! It’ll work out. List your priorities. My friend planned her wedding for $3,000. It wasn’t a huge blow out. It was fairly simple. But exactly what she wanted. Get the MOST important things first. And definitely price EVERYTHING. Dress, venues, etc. Don’t get too set on a specific place or anything yet. Look at prices FIRST. Then see what you can do from there. Hope that helps some ❤️
