Hey everyone. My dress came in! And I was excited but...I'm actually really upset. I know I gained weight, but I didn't think this much. I probably gained about 10 pounds and stopped working out. I am currently in the process of eating healthier again and working out. However, my wedding is March 31st and my first alterations appointment is February 6th. She did say that more can be taken in even after the first alterations appointment, but I'm not sure if in two 1/2ish months I can pull off this much weight loss. Both dresses are of the same size and nothing is different - except the dress was hemmed by the designer to match my height before it came to the store so length was chopped off. She said the sample dress was stretched out from all the try ons from the other brides, but I still feel like a busted can of biscuits. Originally, a lot had to be taken in in the hip area and a little in the waist, and now there is no extra material and no clips had to be used! It might even have to be let out a little if I don't lose this weight. I was in complete shock. Could the sample have stretched out that much?? Blah, I'm so upset and I tried making myself happy by trying on some accessories I liked, but I still felt like complete crap. It doesn't even feel like the same dress. I'm not here to fish for compliments, I just need some motivation and to see if in two months I can shed some pounds.

Bloat is very real. And yes some people can gain 10lbs or more. Unfortunately bloat is also the reason why some people seem to lose a ton of weight the first few weeks of working out, the. It slows down. A lot of that weight was bloat.

Wow, I didn't even know. I always thought bloat was minimal. My chest also seemed to have gotten larger...I just hope it gets all sorted out during alterations because right now I'm having major dress regret.

First off, never compare yourself to looking like a busted can of biscuits because you are far from it. Secondly, don’t start a crazy diet now because you don’t know how your body will react to it. Some of those diets could cause you to GAIN weight. Try to eat healthier and hit the gym. Not only does the gym help you physically but mentally as well. You got this!

Thank you. I'm too hard on myself. I am trying Weight Watchers again. I was successful on it 6 months ago and I'm slowly getting back into it. It isn't an extreme diet really. I'm eating a lot healthier than I was, or more so not as much fast food and junk. But I do get what you're saying, I'm not gonna try anything too drastic.
