My parents are contributing a few thousand that was set aside growing up for a wedding. and I'm sure his side would want to but I don't want them to.

Yes. There was no way we could have had anything other than a courthouse wedding where we live, if my parents had not helped out.

My in-laws helped out, too, by helping us find a venue, emotional support and sometimes just a place to go where we did NOT do wedding stuff, and hosting an amazing rehearsal dinner. (Seriously, it was delicious and relaxed, and they ended up hitting it off with my parents, to boot.)

False. Even from the very beginning when we were planning a traditional non church wedding, it was only ever going to be us which was and is perfectly fine 💖

False. 100% being paid by us. Going into this I thought maybe there would be an small offer from either set of parents to pay for some things, but that hasn't been brought up, and that is fine. We are doing everything exactly the way we want it without any strings attached.

True - my mom and dad have graciously offered to split the cost of our wedding. We've had very little out-of-pocket expenses related to the wedding, and we are eternally thankful for them for that

Yes! In Hispanic culture (especially in my family) it’s tradition for family and friends to help pay for a big party (15’s & weddings). So far, our parents are helping with venue, dress, catering, & band. And our siblings, cousins, and aunts have pitched in to help as well! We’re so blessed!

True. We planned on paying for everything ourselves, and we were ready for it. However, we landed on some money that his father left him before he passes, to get after he turned 25. Soooo, that is what he decided to use it on to make it easier on us.

True. My parents have been very gracious to help where they can. We're paying for the bulk, but they bought my dress, are paying for the rehearsal dinner, and are splitting the cost of the cake with my grandparents. The help was not expected and SOOO appreciated.

As of right now, true. My mom is paying for our honeymoon but I know if she can, she'll put down whatever she can towards the wedding because it's who she is

True. Both my parents and his have agreed to give us money which covers a majority our budget. We will be paying for our honeymoon flights and rehearsal dinner, and a few other things ourselves.
