Aliciabilly2019, on August 14, 2019 at 1:58 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8
So we have 15 days till we get married had my hair and makeup trial today. First 2 pics are how i wanted my makeup and hair rest are of me .. i love my makeup but my hair is deff not how i wanted it. The light wisps of hair i love but the back is deff not like the pic at all!! The front at first before i fixed it at home was way to poofy and i told her so she said well fix it day of. And more i look at the back the more o hate it bc it looks nothing like what i wanted. How do i tell her to go by pic not today bc i deff dont like todays trial? I have been so good at not being bridezilla at all and im generally a very pleasant person but spending 120 for trial and then day of to i want my money to be spent well bc even my FH doesnt like the hair! Smiley sad let me know what you ladies think

Did she blow out or straighten your natural hair before styling or did she just curl your natural hair? It looks like you have a curly hair texture and I think you’ll achieve the look your want if she smooths out your natural curl by blow drying it or flat ironing it straight, then curling. That’s what I do to get smooth curls. In regards to the back, I think it’s texture and placement of curls which is hard to replicate exactly. I’m not a hairstylist though. You look beautiful regardless!

Yea i do have a natural wave to my hair and curl when its wet ..she just curled instead of straightening it and then curling and then she just pinned the curls to back of my head where as this pic i wanted looks like they had it in a ponytail and then did the bjgger wider curls around it she did tight sherley temple curls lol that i didnt want. So fingers crossed Aug 30th shell do it right or at least alot better job...my makeup i love just hair im not happy with sadly

It looks like your example pic has some extra volume, maybe an artificial bump added or something. You would have to have a lot of very long, thick hair to get that shape with just hair.

The makeup came out perfect but I see what you mean with the hair. I think your hair still looks cute but the sample picture she may be wearing extensions because it looks like a lot of hair. If you don't want to get extensions maybe ask her to tease your hair to add more volume in the back?

Your makeup looks great and hair looks nice even though it doesn’t look like the picture you wanted. That person has lots of hair to get that look. Maybe you need extensions or something for that look. I would call her and talk to her now while it’s fresh in her mind.

I really like the makekup, especially the eyeshadow. I would see about getting a slightly darker/richer color lipstick though. I agree about the hair not looking like the picture. Your picture inspiration reminds me of how I wore my hair. I had a messy updo where everything was put into a bun (basically) and then she pulled out, curled and pinned bits of my hair back into the bun. I'm not sure how she did it but there was at least 100 bobby pins in my head that I had to remove at the end of the night. Also, my HMUA told me that most pictures you see on Pinterest (like your inspiration) use hairpieces and/or extensions to get the volume you see. With my hair, she had to curl and tease it a lot to give it any sort of volume. As for the front of your hair, have you considered a side part?

Definitely reach out to her now to share your feedback. That is the point of the trial so you can tweak things now and provide feedback so she'll know what you like versus don't like about what she did.

Here's an example of my hair so you can see the "bun" style with loose curls pinned into it and the side part in the front.

Thank you all for feedback but my hair is below middle of my back i think had she put my hair up in a pony tail like earias said then it would have looked like the picture. She did do a lot of teasing to my hair and it was dry and frizzy bc i ran out of hot water thanks to my kids last night so couldn't condition it so its more dried out then normal but my hair shouldnt need extension she even said so herself when she seen the picture she just didnt put it in a bun and did tight curls instead of bigger curls but i will take the advice of asking her to do it bun style and over again maybe another trial just hair this time idk ...but in that pic my hair looks so short bc of the tight curls she gave me...thank you all again for the advice
