My last (blank) before I get married

Theresa Beale, on October 31, 2013 at 11:21 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 22

I just started writing out my Christmas cards (I like to begin things early when I can) and it dawned on me, this is the last time I will be sending Christmas cards as Theresa Martin, next year's cards will be from Mrs. Beale!! I was thinking if this gives me a little thrill, maybe my friends on WW have had similar thoughts.

I remember telling FH last Christmas (I hosted our families) that next year at Christmas we would own a house together and be married. Christmas will be our first married holiday.

Thanksgiving is our last unmarried holiday.

    I love thinking about that.

The title made me think this thread was going to be dirty for some reason. I am a sick, sick, person.

That said, I can't wait to use my married name on our christmas cards. Smiley smile

This will also be our last christmas as an unmarried couple. Last thanksgiving, halloween, valentines, st patricks, april fools, easter, memorial day, mothers day, fathers day, and July 4th will be the last holiday period before the wedding.

I have thought about some things like this. One of the biggest for me was starting the new school year with the kids. This was the last year introducing myself as Ms maiden name. I had a 'wow' moment the other day when I got my school picture taken, and I was filling out my form and wrote my married name on it, since that's what it will be the rest of the year. It was so weird.

Our last holiday together unmarried will be July 4th 2015 (exactly one week before the wedding) and our first holiday married will be Labor Day. Never thought of this either but am hoping that by our first Christmas we are also on the road to baby! Smiley smile We are both ready now but want to wait until after the wedding for sure!

This will be our last holiday season as an unmarried couple. I'm psyched. I was a little weirded out on our dating anniversary, that it was probably the last time that we'd celebrate it in a big way.

Caitlin, LOL! I don't think that makes you a sick person, I think you just have a healthy appreciation for sex and are not afraid to embrace that!

Yes! We get annual passes to theme parks around here. I had to write both last names on it in February b/c it'll be changed before the pass expires.

Never really thought about it. We've lived together for 3 1/2 years. Honestly I doubt much will change,,

My son is 8 and his bday isn't until June. Yesterday FH told me that next year we will have the bday party at OUR house. I almost cried while eating pizza.

I thought this when it was my B-day in July. I said this is my last birthday as a single woman.

So let's see....our last holiday single will be Valentines Day and our first holiday married will be Memorial Day.

This will be my last birthday before I'm married. I spent 23 years as one name and now I will begin another chapter. Smiley smile
