My mom is procrastinating what she needs for my wedding

Has anyone else had issues with their mom getting the stuff she needs for her daughter's wedding? I'm getting married in a month in the FL Keys. I'm so excited except for the fact that my mom has put off getting her MOB dress, shoes, etc. I made her hotel reservations for her, I booked her flight for her too. We are paying for the wedding ourselves. I just do not understand why she's behaving this way. I'm wondering if she will even make it to my wedding. I am so hurt by her behavior. I've had to beg her to get her dress and shoes (which she still hasn't bought). Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!

    Totally feel you!! My mom and my sister (who was my MOH) didn’t get their attire until 2-3 weeks before. I was stressed for months leading up over it and just had to trust they wouldn’t let me down or I’d lose my mind

    It sounds to me like she's not very motivated. I am getting married in 2 weeks and all I have left to do is get my hair colored (next wednesday) and buy nylons. Everything else is done and I'm just waiting for the day to come

    That's very exciting! Congratulations! I think we have everything we need done which is a great feeling! I am just nervous about my mom getting the things she needs for our wedding in time.

    I would tell her that's really not a reason. If you live close by would it be possible to go shopping with her? You could make a fun day out of it. Go dress and shoe shopping, maybe get your nails done if you guys are into that and grab lunch.

    God I wish everyone had a mom like mine when it comes to wedding planning, she’s so unbelievably excited about it all but never oversteps or gets pushy about anything. That’s the way it should be! I’m sorry your mom doesn’t seem motivated to buy her outfit, you’d think she’d be more eager for such a special day! Good luck to you 💕

    Is it okay if you mom attends in any attire she may have or buy? Is she not really wanting to shopping, as many have reduced their activities in the last several years?

    Is it possible she's trying to lose weight up until the last possible minute? Or that she's overwhelmed with choices? You can, of course, offer to go shopping with her or suggest online options, but at the end of the day, it's up to her. While many people would probably feel pressured by now, a month is actually plenty of time to find a dress unless she's looking for something custom or that needs a fair amount of alteration. That's assuming she can wear what she likes.

    My MIL bought her attire on Thursday. We got married on Saturday. It’ll be ok.
    My mom on the other hand wanted to go shopping together and showed me a ton of choices MONTHS in advance. Maybe see if she wants the two of you to go together or send her some ideas.
