My officiant wrote the date weirdly on the certificate

Courtney, on March 24, 2023 at 9:37 AM Posted in Married Life 0 4
So my officiant writes his dates weird and puts the day/month/year so it says 19/3/23 is that okay for when he signed it the actual wedding day is written 3/19/23 cuz that’s how it’s asked to be written but when he signed and then dated it he put 19/3/23

Does it specify on the form how it’s supposed to be written, or does it just say “date”? I would think if it doesn’t specify it’s still fine especially since it’s clear that 19 would have to be the day and not the month, but you can always call the clerk’s office at the courthouse where you have to file and ask to make sure.

I would reach out to the township you’re filing at to confirm. Day/month/year is actually how a lot of countries write their dates so it isn’t super uncommon, just not seen as often in the US.

Reach out to the county where it was filed and ask for confirmation.

I have seen dates written like that before and it’s not uncommon. Is it written that way on the form? I would reach out to the county to confirm that it is written that way.
