my sister inlaw copy my song and sign book...

Private User, on June 11, 2014 at 5:17 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

My wedding was about 6 months ago I had a very unique sign book idea and the song I used was very dear to me. Its my hubby and I's song. When she found out we were getting marry her very words to me were "omg I hate you" then she turn to her boyfriend and said "when are you gonna propose to me" That's not all on my wedding day she commented very rudely about my sign book idea saying she had seen it before in another wedding but her wedding just past and she used the same exact thing for her sign book. And also took her wedding pictures in the same spot we did. I'm upset I don't know how to talk to her after this it hurt because I tried so hard to be nice and sweet to her but she didn't care.

Get over it. You are married to your husband. what does it matter she copied you? I will never understand brides who feel the own what they think is unique to a wedding. nothing is unique at a wedding, it has been done somewhere at some point

Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Just try to mend the bridges. She might not even realize that what she is doing/did was rude or hurt your feelings.

I totally get that not to be petty but I'm a painter and I know that have used canvas at other weddings but mine was unique in that I painted the image from my imagination and she completely copied it with the only difference that she used a picture of mine cus she can't paint. I tried mending the bridge countless times but she keeps on showing her disapproval of her brother being marry to me it really sucks! Smiley sad thanks tho...and Jet sorry to say this to you but you're a guy and guys just don't get how important some things are to women like our wedding and a good relationship with our husband's family.

I agree, take it as flattery because she copied you. It's not worth stressing yourself about. Even though she copied you, it's still different because she's not you. Despite her actions, remember you did it before her.

Jet's current picture is a bride. How did you get guy from that?

Anyway, don't worry - you did it first. She copied. She's unoriginal.

And just don't socialize with her. Be pleasant but distant.

Number 1, if it's that big a deal to you, you need to re-examine your priorities. Number 2, people would see that it had already been done before. Number 3, you need to learn to pick your battles and number 4, Jet is a woman. She has been here quite a while and always has worthwhile advice to share, I'd rather her from her than someone that has never posted here before and only posting to complain about something so trivial!

Maybe you are someone she looks up to, and she doesn't even know it. Get over it and be happy you did it first. Smiley tongue

Wow some what petty of you. I am copying my sister on her food- why? cause I like the food. I am copying peoples can lights- why? cause I love what they look like. and GASP I am going to wearing a bridal gown that other brides have the bought and worn. Did she steal your wedding day? Did she make your wedding day the most horrible day of your life? NO so put your big girl undies on and suck it up.

I wore a fishtail braid for my wedding - the next week my cousin had smeared all over FB that she had "decided to finally learn how to fishtail braid her hair!!11!!" .. .. I keep telling myself imitation is the highest form of flattery. .

    Smiley smile

Yeah you are all right...just fyi the fact I haven't posted doesn't mean I haven't been here before I thought this was a place for good advice so I decided to share with you...i give thanks to those of you that were respectful and to the one's that were rude best of luck. By the way Jet my apology but to the rest of you...you didn't have to post. If you got no advice keep your mean words to yourselves I won't be posting any more thanks I learned my lesson...
