My venue doesn't go with my color palette...

So I love my venue, but I don't like the color of the walls or the carpet. The walls are burnt orange, the carpet is a orange and grey floral/leaf pattern, and there are huge wooden pillars a good two feet across. The only thing that works with my theme are the pillars. The ceremony will be outside...

The ceremony will be outside with the chugach mountains in the background, but the reception will be inside. My theme is rustic and my colors are shades of light purple, blue, and pink. I feel like those colors are going to clash with the walls. I need to find a way to either incorporate or camouflage the orange.

I'm guessing you won't have the overhead fluorescent lights on during your reception, which will help a lot.

My venue doesn't match my color palette at ALL. It's very annoying but I'm just dealing with it and hoping people don't notice that much once the uplights are on.

Dim lighting, candles, and uplighting can all change the look of the room. So can draping fabric, but I'm not sure if you even need to go that far.

One of the reasons I chose my venue was because I liked the colors and architectural details of the reception room. Looking at pictures of other weddings also helped me figure out what works and what doesn't look great when decorating that room.
