Kirst, is your photographer finished with your design? It took about 4 weeks for my album to actually be made after I ordered. I don't know what type your photographer uses but the professional ones take a while beyond the design time.

Adrienne, If it fits in your budget, I highly recommend a nice flush mount album. They are so beautiful and will last a lifetime. Completely different than photo books. Just depends on that you want

Just breathtaking, Mrs.O- I feel like I tell you this all the time, but you are one talented lady! It came out even better than than the mock- up and I love the cover you decided to go with. It must be such a relief to be able to hold it now!

Omigod I LOOOOOVE IT! You did such a great job designing the page spreads MrsO! And the material of the album looks amazing, the pages look super thick and you definitely can't even see the page crease.

Well done!!! What a priceless keepsake, you're going to love that for years and years and years.

Kimber, yes, I love me some linen! I am personally not a fan of leather albums (or leather at all really), so I was so happy at the fabric choices for the cover that this album company offered.

Jacqueline, since this was my first time actually designing an album/photobook, how the spreads translated to the actual book actually surprised me. I agree that I like the actual album better than I liked my spreads on the computer. There were some spreads that I was honestly worried about. I didn't know if they would have too much blank space, or if photos where I had multiple on a page would be too small printed. However it came out perfect in person.

Kris, so did you order your album yet? I'm really interested in how shutterfly's new books will be like in person and am eagerly waiting for you to get yours and post your opinions on it.

Oh Jen, shut up! haha Your photos are gorgeous! Also you have double photos from both your courthouse ceremony AND your september wedding, which gives you all the more reason to put them into a fabulous album!

Juliette, yes we are planning on ordering our parent albums from them as well. However I am limiting the parent albums to simple 20 page albums which focus on family photos, portraits of us, along with just the main events of the day highlighted. Unlike the album I made for us that takes us step through step through the entire day.

As a wedding gift to my brother and SIL, I also told them that I would design and order them an album using their professional photos once they get them.

Comparing Shutterfly and other photo books to professional quality albums is like comparing apples and oranges. They are just so different. Different books at different price points. All depends on your priorities and what you want (and can also afford)
