My wedding dress is too short!

Amy, on May 16, 2020 at 10:03 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Need some advice!! I picked up my dress yesterday and tried it on, everything fit nearly perfect. When ordering my dress, I ordered a custom length to avoid needing it hemmed. Well now I regret that because the front of the dress is too short with my 2inch heels. I’m not opposed to getting flats instead, however I’m slightly nervous that it will still be too short! Just curious if anyone else has had this problem and if so what was your solution?!

A lot of dresses are a bit shorter in the front than back, does it have a train? Would love to see a picture!

Unfortunately I did not get a good picture. It is an A-line/ball gown with a chapel length train. The front of the dress does not touch the floor by 2 inches or so.

Is being flats to the next fitting and see how it goes. What did your seamstress say? Usually they can let out the hem an inch or two.

I'd bring flats to the next fitting and discuss with the seamstress then what your options are!
