Hi! I bought my dress last year and didn’t realized the color would be too champagne. I wanted it to be lighter (ivory/white) Do you think I can use a Rit color remover to make it lighter?
What do y’all think about this color? Is it too dark for a wedding dress?
First and last pic are taken in front of my window. (Natural light)
Middle pic is taken indoor.
Would appreciate any advice. Thank you!Wedding date: 09/06/2021

Your dress is beautiful, and not too dark at all!

The thing about lace is, the different materials take up dye differently, and dying things lighter is very tricky anyway, so I would strongly, strongly advise against doing this.

I think in photos it will look very bridal, and not too champagne-y.

Edit, I said lace, but I mean the flowers/trim - they are likely to take up dye differently than the underskirts and tulle stuff over the top.

It looks gorgeous. Even if it's not pure white, everyone will know you're the bride (if that's what you're worried about). I wouldn't risk putting any chemicals on it, since that might ruin it or just make it look more drab.

I don’t understand why you think it’s dark. That is a customary color. Never dye special occasion fabrics or use bleach on them. So many things to go wrong if you DIY. If you don’t like the color, you are better off selling it and getting a different dress.

It looks more blush than champagne. Either way, it's STUNNING. Don't DIY a color removal. Synthetic fabrics are tricky

It is a gorgeous color. Do not dye it….you may ruin a beautiful dress. I think it is simply regal!

It seems like it’s kind of dark in the room you are standing in. I would take it outside and see how it looks in natural light.

I don’t personally like the champagne dress look but it is a standard bridal color and will not look out of place or edgy or anything like that. It’s a beautiful dress.

I think your dress is gorgeous and I wouldn't risk trying to change the color!! Smiley love

My dress was past ivory - they called it "oyster"!

I wouldn't change a thing on either dress. All of your pics are indoors and lighting indoors on a cell phone camera won't give you the best pictures. Either one you choose to wear will be amazing!
