Nail Color for Engagement!! Eekk!

First off, wow.. Second off, it doesn't matter? I had no idea I was getting proposed to, THANK GOD, and I had pen and marker all over my hands (I work in a daycare) so stop overthinking it

I had on these crazy galaxy-patterned jamberrys. I never would have chosen them for a proposal, but I didnt know I was being proposed to. I was fresh from the shower, in my underwear.

Pinterest makes girls think that 100% of proposals should be these grand affairs on top of mountains and the girl should magically have her hair, nails, and makeup done to perfection. She should be wearing her best outfit- but she should also be surprised.

If anything, WW has taught me that the best proposals are those that are authentic to the couple. in 20 years, you'll be telling your kids what he said and how you felt, not how your nails were done.

I got engaged on Christmas day. My nails were red with two fingers having little green sparkles on them. I loved that they were painted already, my two sisters (then ages 17 and 20) had my proposal on snapchat before I could even say yes, so they just look better. I also liked that it was reflective of the day/season/holiday so when I look back at pictures it reminds me of my Christmas proposal.

As far as everyone giving you a hard time on this post, if you don't care about your nails any other day I highly doubt you care about your nails for your proposal. Ultimately it doesn't matter to other people, but neither does 90 percent of the stuff we talk about on WW. Its just a lighthearted fun question about nail color. But please do follow up with us on whether or not the proposal happens.

I had jamberry wraps on that looked like Christmas socks. I had no idea I was going to get engaged. It also didn't really matter because the ring didn't fit so I carried the ring around in my purse (we were at my parents house). I never thought about what my nails looked like. I don't think I would care even if I could have worn the ring immediatly, I always have something crazy going on with my nails. Just go with what fits you.

I had a giant bruise on one of my nails and no nail polish on. It wasn't a crisis. You can always paint them afterwards, so you don't need to obsess over preemptively getting a manicure.

My nails were a hot ass mess because I was not expecting the proposal and had been crazy busy at work that whole week.

Somehow I still managed to become engaged, and the world did not end. Shocking.

Not going to lie my nails were perfectly manicured when FH proposed. I totally knew exactly when it was happening because he's not a stealthy as he thinks he is.

We were on vacation when he proposed so they were a shade of pink don't really remember exactly, but I promise neither one of you will remember! There is no right or wrong color choose whatever makes you feel pretty : )

I read this and thought the OP was asking about nail color for an engagement photo session (what's on my brain at the moment). It never occurred to me that she wasn't even engaged yet. I guess maybe I should think about getting my nails done in anticipation of my e-ring finally coming in almost half-way through my engagement? Honestly, I get maybe 2-3 manicures a year, usually as a social thing.

When FH proposed I had just rolled out of bed from a nap and was in sweats with bed head and certainly no make up.

I like the name and sound of Ballet Slippers - the few times I do go I usually go with Mademoiselle or Sugar Daddy.

I would hate knowing that he was going to propose.
