Ppl are so extra. Nothing wrong with your question. Especially if you often polish your nails. You would definitely Know better than us as far as what color looks best on you... But if I had to say.... A French manicure goes well and looks nice with pretty much everything. Enjoy the moment when it happens more than anything else. Good luck

I don't understand how a community of people who can spend hours obsessing about wedding colors, centerpieces, cake toppers etc is in a position to judge a girl for wanting to have nice nails for the potential proposal and/or ring pics.

It's no more or less trivial than any wedding stuff but it's still weird. How the hell do we know what to recommend? Just get a mani in a color you like. I got one yesterday and I just picked. Hope you get asked, but at least you'll have pretty cuticles.

I'm sorry, it just seems mind boggling to me that this is even a thought process. And no one is more obsessed with wedding minutia than I am, though if you read most of my posts you'll also get that I think my industry (yes, I claim it....)has made couples more aware than anyone should be of stupid shit like bridesmaid proposals, bling security briefcases and giant jenga.

If he asks, he asks, and if that's what you want, I hope it happens for you. Then you get your nails done and take a picture. You'll be just as engaged as if the IG photo was in real time.

It's no wonder everyone in the wedding process, vendor or couple, is driven completely insane by it.

Being a part of a community means accepting people as they are. Yes maybe her worries are different than other people's but it doesn't make it any less valid. At some point we should stop the bashing and just take people as they are. She knows her man better than us. We were up in the middle of the mountains when he proposed. Didn't see it coming. My nails weren't done, and it never crossed my mind that I should've been concerned about it. Too busy being caught up in the moment.
