I would get them done the day before. Acrylic can be more damaging to your own nails. I have been doing the powder dip SNS lately and loving it. So much better for you since you don't need a UV Ray to cure them and they last just as long as gel

If you can the day of. If not the day before. I do acrylic and feel but either can slightly damage your nail. Gel is less harsh. I do acrylic with gel polish.

I get gel because it lasts and I have to keep nails short. I am not opposed to acrylic for length but i feel that you can see the fakeness. Gel looks more natural.

I would get them done within 3 days of the wedding. I prefer gel over acrylic, but would choose SNS over both of them.

I've been getting gel done since we got engaged, and I feel like my nails are pretty healthy overall. They last three weeks, which is longer than I've made acrylic last, and I end up getting them redone because of growth more than breakage usually. Personal preference! I would go the day before as a treat to yourself.

The day before is what many do, and it is what I plan on doing a well. If you are getting married in the late afternoon or early evening, I think it's a good idea to get them done the day of if your wedding day timeline allows it.

If you don't want to do the powder dip, I'd say go with gel. Acrylic destroys your nails (at least they destroy mine)

I’ve never done acrylic so no words on that. If you go with gel- do not, I repeat, do not peal it off. Even if it starts to come up- do not peal it. It will take a layer of your nail off and it will take weeks for it to get better. Also, if you take them off at home it takes forever. So gel is not my thing... it looks good though! As far as dipped nails, it has been linked to get infections on your nails and skin. Everyone uses the same container to get their nails dipped so all of their germs and fungus (because no one washes their hands anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️) is set into that powder. You don’t want that on you.

Depends on your nails really. If you don’t really like acrylic, I would go with gel . I suggest dip because it’s a combination of both. But if you want long nails then acrylic would be it.

Neither get Sns nails they are the dip powder. They are better for your nails than gel or acrylic. They last twice as long and are harder then both. They don’t chip or break as easily, so less to worry about breaking your manicure before the big day. I never get my nails done but when I do I get sns because of how hardy it is. And it’s no more expensive than the other two as well.

    1. I'd get them done the 19th or 20th.

    2. Have you had either before? It depends on what you want. I have acrylic all the time anyway (and have for 10+ years). I bite my nails and I'm pretty rough on them, so I need the strength & thickness of fake nails. I also like to add length for nice events (like our wedding) which is easy with fake nails. They can also damage your nails if not taken off correctly. Another option is dip nails, I've heard it's not as damaging to your nail. If you are looking to add length to your normal nail, then I'd go acrylic. If you are just looking for a nice color, I'd go gel. I did acrylic nails & shellac toenail polish for our wedding. Regardless what you do, don't go to a random person at the nail salon. Read reviews and pick someone who is very good at what they do, and make the appointment specifically with them!
