I think within the week is best. A gel will hold up longer if you can do that.
I've only had acrylics but I eat my nails so it's them or risk biting them off.

I got a gel manicure and I did it 2 days before my wedding. The woman who did it did such a great job that it was seriously still perfect (not even slightly chipped) 3 weeks later! Pretty incredible. I only got rid of it a couple days ago because my nails were getting too long Smiley tongue

I regularly get SNS/dip powder manicures every 2 weeks. I’ve been trying different colors for months to find just the right one and I finally found it a few days ago. I’ll be getting mine done on Thursday for my Saturday wedding

I tested this for a full year since I had a destination wedding and I was traveling 4 days before the wedding. I ended up loving the dip powder and how long it lasted. I can’t complain because my nails looked so fresh.

I get my nails done regularly. I will get them done 2 days before my wedding (the day of the rehearsal dinner). I am probably going to do all my self pampering that day. Spray tan, waxing, eyebrows, etc.

I plan on doing the day before for mani's and pedi's. I did Gel nails the day before we got engaged (although I didn't know we would be getting engaged) and by the time we got engaged my nails were all chipped. I want to do fake nails for the wedding and this iswhat I'm looking for

Love the ombre, hesitant about glitter nail though Nails 1

I’m getting shellac (gel) done two days before. I get the gel done fairly often it usually last two to three weeks depending on how rough I am on my nails.

I'm getting mine done on either Wednesday or Thursday before our Saturday wedding. I get my nails done every 3-4 weeks consistently and for me, SNS powder holds up better than gel. I can usually go a solid 4 weeks with no chipping or anything and just have to get them changed out because of growth. I got SNS on my nails a week ago today and with very little growth since then, if I told you I got them done today you would believe it.

If you don't care about them lasting for weeks, either gel or SNS should be sufficient if applied correctly. Make sure you look up reviews for the place you're going so you know it'll be done right! I personally am not a fan of acrylics because they're not good for your nails but if you want them longer, that may be the way to go. I believe they can also add just tips on when doing SNS but I haven't done that so I'm not sure how they hold up.

I did mine 2 days before, that way if my fingertips were sore they would get better before the big day!

My beautician suggested the day before. Just in case... If you are accident prone... Like I am. Acrylic or powder or all depends on the proficiency of your nail technician.

I'm aiming for 1-2 days in advance. Acrylic, powder, gel- everyone has a preference. I stopped doing acrylic because it damaged my real nails so badly. I've been doing Japanese gel nails and it's so much better for my natural nails and lasts so long. The designs they are able to do are amazing as well.

I'm going to do mine 1-2 days before, and will probably do glue-ons, to be honest. I have very good luck with ImPress nails from the store. They're like $7 and they last a week for me! I do use extra glue like they say not to, though. I'm going to do a gel for my pedicure. Edit to add photo of those nails on me, since I know a lot of us grew up in the 90s when drugstore beauty stuff was pointless. Smiley winking Smiley tongue (Please excuse my cuticles, though.... this was in March in MI so SUPER dry, and several days after popping them on!)

I plan on getting them done a few days out, less than a week. I'm just getting basics done though.

I got mine done the day before the wedding and I honestly was very stressed because there were a lot of other things that I needed to get done for the wedding. So it was not relaxing at all.

I'm getting mine done the day before. I love the powder because it doesn't mess up my nail when removing like acrylic does.

I'm getting mine done the day before our wedding (I've already made my appointment, although, it's not until February)! My hair and makeup package includes a shellac manicure and regular pedicure so I'll be getting those done (my HMUA owes a hair salon, which has nail & facial services as well). I've never done powder as I always do gel, but I've heard great things about it! I'm not a fan of acrylic.

I would go within a week of the wedding (3-4 days) so that they still look new. I get solar done which is acrylic but only using my natural nail, no tips. I keep mine pretty short. I have had SNS done though which is a powder and it gives the same look and durability.
