Naked without my ring

Yes! Absolutely! My finger shrunk as well and sometimes I wear it on my right hand bc I don't want to be a part from it for a week during resizing.

Yep! I had to get my wedding band custom made to match the curve of my engagement ring so I was without it for a few weeks. Now, I don't wear the engagement ring as much, but I feel naked without the wedding band.

Yes! I actually haven’t worn mine since March. Once the pandemic hit, I was advised to stop wearing the ring because I was constantly washing and sanitizing my hands, which is really bad for it. For the first 2-3 weeks I felt totally naked without it, and there were countless times I went to touch it or spin it and had a second of panic thinking oh my God, where is my ring?! Lol Now I don’t really notice it all that often. But I am definitely excited for the day I can put it back on!

Nope you’re not the only one. When we sent my engagement ring off for cleaning I felt the same way!

I think it's pretty common to feel that way once you aren't wearing a piece of jewelry that you typically always wear! I haven't worn my ring since the pandemic started, so I actually have the opposite problem now: I feel weird if I do wear it.

I totally feel naked without any of the rings on me too

I couldn't imagine not wearing my ring for a week. But normally I take my ring off at work (I work in a kitchen) and sometimes I'll go to play with it and it's not there and I panic for a second until I realize where it is lol. I hate when I don't have it on.

Yes! Don’t wear it at home much because it always knocking it on things doing house work. I always find myself trying to adjust it when it’s not there!

Yup! I don't wear mine much anymore since I wash my hands all the time with covid now. I still go to play with it when it's not there lol

Yes! Mine was away being resized for a whole month. I kept freaking out thinking I lost it for a second anytime I looked at or washed my hands, so I put a different ring on that finger until I got my engagement ring back.

Yes! To the point that I have worn it every day during quarantine/lockdown/whatever this is nowadays.

DH doesn't wear his unless we go out (and sometimes he forgets because that's not very often), but... I have to put them on when I get up. I might not put on earrings or real pants... but the rings, those I have to.

I feel that way, too! When I started working in manufacturing, wearing my ring was a safety concern to me. I still wanted to wear something, so I purchased one of those silicone rings to wear for work. Maybe purchase one for the days you can't wear the ring or are traveling and want to keep your metal ring safe at home?
I prefer the Groove rings due to their band designs, but there are quite a few selections out there. The Groove rings are sold on Amazon, too. Not as big as a selection, though. Lifetime warranty as well.

Yes! Super naked and it's weird! I took my ring to get appraised and then had to take it to the jeweler to get inspected and on the phone the lady from Jared said it will take 5 days and I wanted it cleaned too. I scheduled an appointment 7 days before the wedding and turns out since it's platinum it didn't need to be sent out. So now I have it in the box nice and shinny waiting to be on my finger 1 week from today!


Also something to consider is are you going to wear your engagement ring during the ceremony? Or are you going to have him place it on your finger along with the band?
I am having in put both on at the same time since they fit together. The ring is super thick and I'll have to make sure my fingers don't swell up on the day of the wedding. Lol

I was the same way. My ring needed to be sized down and I wouldn't do it for months. I had just gotten my ring and I wasn't ready to part with it.

YES! My fiancé got my ring sized to a 9 when after she purchased the ring.. being that all of the *cheap* rings I wore *from department stores* were a 9. I got a rubber attachment to wear on it until we got it sized properly, which was 2 weeks after our engagement since I wanted to show it off to all my family and friends first. I felt so naked without it and I was soo sad when we turned it into the jeweler for 2 weeks.

Yes!!! I haven't been able to wear my e-ring since March! The middle diamond is loose and in March everything shut down! When Kays finally opened I went there right away only for them to tell me they are not doing repairs at this time due to the service centers not being open. I went back two months later, still nothing. Today I finally checked again and they are finally open!!! So now I am gonna go there as soon as I get out of work and I will now be without it again, for who knows how long, while they repair it!! So I feel you girl!!

Thank you ladies. I feel much better and thanks for the advice. I forgot actually I actually purchased a rubber ring from Qalo. I want planning on taking my rings when we go to our honeymoon. Especially since one band is being soldered on it. I'm using the rubber band until I get mine back.

Hi ladies thanks for the comments. It made me feel a lot better. I just got my ring back. I'm so happy. The soldered one band the order will be saved to the wedding ceremony. I'm even more in love with my ring.
