They are a waste of money, in my opinion. Changing your name is very simple and free. No need to pay someone to help you.

Agreed with the above posters. If you search, several people have asked this same question with pretty much the same result. When I was changing my name, there were only 3 places that had official forms: social security, passport, and motor vehicles. The longest form was passport, but you could fill it out online and then it creates a printable PDF. The SS and motor vehicle forms were 1 page. Everywhere else was happy with a copy of my marriage certificate and updated driver's license. Most places even allowed me to just email them scanned versions of those 2 documents.

I did not use this but I would be wary of giving them any personal information. Changing your name is a pain but most of the steps are pretty straightforward and easy
