Name Change

There's a few involved upto $100 and the reviews don't look that great. I'd just take your time and do it yourself so you know it's right.

Those companies don’t actually change your name for you. They just pre-fill your information into the forms you need. I wouldn’t spend the money doing that. Changing my name was a pretty quick and painless process.

I would just do it yourself. All they do id provide you will all the forms that you can get yourself for free.

As others have said all they do is gather and maybe pre-fill all the forms you need. These forms can be downloaded for free online and most of them are only a page or 2 long so they take like 5 minutes to fill out. I didn't think they were worth it. I didn't have much trouble changing my name anywhere when I did it. With Covid, there may be some delays with SS and DMV and passport though.

Like everyone else said it’s not worth it. I’m in the process of doing it and just a heads up that social security offices everywhere are still closed. I had to mail all my stuff in to social security and I’ve been waiting for almost a month for my new social security card and have no idea when it’ll show up. I’ll go to the DMV next. New passports aren’t being issued right now so that’s another problem during this time.

Not worth it. Changing your name is super easy. I’d save your money.

I’ve never heard of this! Honestly, I prefer to do it myself.
